Spring 2017 Style
This spring off the shoulder tops and dress are everywhere. The cut exposes the decollete or shoulders creating an insanely feminine vibe. Light whites, neutrals, and pastels are replacing the gray hues seen last season. Floral embroidery is making a comeback too, appearing on shirts, pants, shoes, etc. I love the way embroidered patchwork can add some detail to a piece without making it become overbearing.
The purse I am wearing in the photo below was a gift from a store in Serbia. The purses gold hardware polishes up an outfit without being overly formal. The white shirt dress I choose was found by fluke in The Bay. I decided to pair this dress with a pair of black mules that I bought last spring. For me personally, I feel that you should try and mix in old pieces in with new purchases. It’s a way of defining my own personal style and economically makes a lot of sense. Lastly, for accessories, I put on a small Kate Spade bracelet and a thin black choker to keep the look simple but current.
